Meet Gus
http://littlebigdog.org/available-dogs/
This handsome smart personable friendly happy dog needs a home with no dogs, cats or children. Gus is 87% American Bulldog and 13% Boxer. He is a ten year old dog who was picked up stray and taken to the local shelter. He was rescued and has been living in our senior sanctuary. We learned that Gus has a brain injury and cranial nerve injury. He can't bark, use his tongue, open his mouth wide, and his third eyelid is permanently closed over his left eye. Gus has multiple mast cell tumors. The tumors are very small and do not require removal.
Gus is a wonderful companion, loves cuddling, car rides, tummy rubs and back scratches. He hugs with both front legs, gives his paw, and sits on command.
Gus weighs 106 pounds and drools when he is hungry. Eating is a real challenge for Gus but if you give him enough time and space, he gets it done. Gus does not like elevated feeders and will take his bowl out and place it on the floor.
Gus is an indoor dog. He has exquisite house manners. He is neutered, negative for all tick- and mosquito-borne illnesses, up-to-date on Rabies and vaccinations, and OH yeah, he sheds.
If you have a heart for seniors please consider fostering or adopting Gus.Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated. Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest.
Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
Please contact us if you have questions about our adoptable dogs, we would love to talk to you!
