Meet Gus

You **MUST** have an approved application on file with Lab Lovers Rescue (formerly known as Rudy's Rescue) BEFORE contacting the foster about this dog.

Gus is a sweet, smart, beautiful 4 year old Black Lab mix who has the exuberance and joy for life you’d expect of a young, healthy dog. He weighs 65 lbs. Gus learns very quickly and wants to please. He is loving dog school!

Gus really loves being around people and is very happy to sleep at his person's feet for hours when given the opportunity.

He is living happily with a cat with his foster family. Gus will do best in a calm household with a confident, experienced owner. He needs to be mentally and physically engaged and should be the only dog in the home. A home with no children or with older children is preferred.

Gus knows some basic commands and loves going for walks. He is currently excelling in obedience training. His adopter will need to continue with formal training. He is house trained, crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. This guy has a huge heart and will give you all his love!

He is neutered, current on all vaccinations and heartworm preventative, and is microchipped.

**Approved adopters** can contact the foster family at

**BEFORE YOU CONTACT THE FOSTER HOME ** If you want more information or would like to meet the dog, you must FIRST fill out an application, have references checks, a home visit and become approved. For approved homes, dogs over 6 months of age are available for our foster-to-adopt program. The foster-to-adopt option is not available to puppies under 6 months.

Our adoption fees are:
Puppies under 6 months: $400 + $100 Spay/Neuter Deposit
Puppies 6 months – 1 year: $350
Dogs 1-7 years: $300
Dogs over 7 years or with serious handicaps: $200.

Since we are a volunteer organization funded entirely by contributions, we count on your continuing support as well as your adoption fees to help defray the costs of caring for our foster dogs. We are delighted to accept any amounts over these minimum fees to help other dogs in our care.

If you can't help with a donation of money we are happy to have you help with your time.
