Gus 3 Maltese & Maltipoo Mix Los Alamitos, CA

Gus is a male 9-12 yr old pup who has been through lots of homes in the last month. He was left at a shelter, adopted from there by a private party, rehomed and then surrendered to our rescue. None of these rehomes were his fault and we want to make sure his next home is forever. He is 20 lbs and very sweet. Gus has some skin tags and because he is a senior he has some arthiritis and possible some sight and hearing loss, but he is social and will be a great low maintance pet for a home that is willing to just let this senior meander around at his own pace. He gets along with gentle kids and other dogs and is good in the car. He is generally a sweet and chill guy who likes to lounge on his beds and near his person. He likes to lean up right against his person when chillin on the sofa. He gives gentle little kisses and doesn’t beg for food. He is pretty house trained, just a few accidents in the first week and cautiously friendly when new people walk through the front door. He is not crate trained and does not enjoy the crate, someone home much of the time may be best for him. He does great with other dogs his size and smaller.
Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We only make consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 plus months with no local candidates.

We do not have a shelter so individual appointments must be made to meet the pet you are interested in. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County.
This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some case a home check.
