Dog Story
Here’s Gunner! He is enthusiastic, curious, loving, just all the Brittany good things. He is also one handsome boy with soulful eyes. He is an excellent cuddle buddy. He also loves wrestling with our resident Britts, doing zoomies in the yard, greeting new people, playing ball and collecting things. Living with a family with other playmates and frequent visitors is new. This guy is learning so many things quickly. He knows all about dog doors, climbing steps and waiting patiently at mealtime. He’s joined the Britt security group in patrolling the yard for fur and feather. He also bravely checks out noisy trains and thunder storms.

Gunner really needs an active family who will appreciate his energy. One who has the time and patience to teach him the rules of being a good canine citizen. He is learning about walking on a leash and resisting jumping up to greet folks. He feels every new person is his Bestie, even the staff at the vet’s office. He is an excellent traveler and sits calmly in his crate. We don’t have any experience with small children. But he does well with older kids, who understand his jumping is really excitement.

He loves our Britts so he would do well with some furry siblings. But he would be equally happy being an only child. He has seen cats crated at the vet’s office. A quick hiss and Gunner backed away, but we don’t know how he would deal with a free range feline.

He is such a good boy. If we didn’t have a pack already and age was on our side, Gunner would have found his forever home. He is that good a boy. We are not considering sight unseen or long distance adoptions for Gunner. He has already lost a family so finding that perfect fit is essential. You must commit to a meet and greet (humans and canines) to assure we have a good match.

Gunner was an owner surrender. His senior owner developed health issues and could not keep him. He is up to date on vaccinations, HW negative and on preventative. He is also micro chipped.
