Meet Gumbo

Rue, Rex and Gumbo are 3 - 6.5 month old curr, shep and hound mixes that are looking for their forever homes!

These 3 boys were picked up as strays and truly just have not had an easy life. Because we are only a foster based shelter, to get them safe we had to put them in boarding where they've been the last 6 weeks.

These puppies truly deserve a home where they can get interaction.

The pups all weigh about 43 lbs each and we believe they won't get bigger than 65 lbs full grown.

A little shy at first, once these boys warm up to you, they just melt and attach themselves to you. We can't blame them for not trusting all humans as we don't know what they went through in their younger months, but once they learn to trust you, these boys shine.

They love their toys and romping around the boarding yard, playing with each other.

These boys would make wonderful dogs for people/a person who understand these boys need a little extra TLC. A little patience goes a long way.

They are gentle and sweet and just need the right people/person to show them that they will be loved and kept safe for the rest of their lives.

They love water too! So if you enjoy doing water activities, these boys will definitely follow!

All adoption fees include spay/neuter, current negative hw test if old enough, current age appropriate vaccines including rabies, parvo/distemper, lepto, bordatella, current heart worm and flea/tick preventions, lifetime registered microchip, 2 dewormers and transport costs from Texas to the East Coast.

We process applications as first come, first serve so we suggest you fill out an application as soon as possible as we can receive quite a few per animal.

If you submit an inquiry that questions something answered in this bio, we will not respond due to high volume of inquiries.

ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE LOCATED IN SOUTH TEXAS. They are posted in areas where we transport to ONCE ADOPTED.

95% of our animals are pre adopted prior to transport, if you want to do a meet and greet with an animal in person we suggest going to a local shelter as we probably will not be able to offer that.

Once approved though us, we will put you in contact with the foster family that has your animal to learn more about them!

We transport every few weeks, TBD.

Application turn around is usually about 1-3 days max, if not sooner. After you submit an application and want to send additional information or pictures of current animals/past ones in a separate email, we love that and it always helps your chances :)
