Guinness Plott Hound & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Bethel, CT

Meet Guinness, a super handsome six-month-old, 42 lb. plott hound/pittie mix with the most stunning brindle coat, precious smile, and dark brown eyes. He came to our rescue from Texas with his sister, Mimi. They were saved from euthanasia with just hours left before taking the long journey to Connecticut. Now that Mimi has been adopted, he is in search of his own loving furever home.

Guinness is always ready to be the life of the party, hence the name! His tail never stops wagging and he just adores his playtime and toys. Before he came to us, he even enjoyed swimming in the fosters pool in Texas. Although he will likely grow to be 60+ lbs., Guinness is a total lap dog who loves to snuggle. He's super playful and loves to run around and explore. He is a bit unsure of new people and dogs when he first meets them (he will sometimes bark, lunge, or growl) so he will need someone who will help guide him to let him know that all is okay.

Guinness is young and spent some time being cooped up in a shelter so he would benefit from training but thankfully is very treat motivated. He can be jumpy so young children aren't recommended and he'd be best suited for teens and up. He must go to a home with a fenced yard and an adopter willing to continue training with him.
