Grove is PENDING ADOPTION!

Grove (affectionately known as Grover) was born in February 2025. He is a beautiful puppy who arrived in Maine with his littermates on June 1st. Grove is totally deaf and has limited vision in one of his eyes. After arriving in Maine, he also shattered his knee cap, so on top of navigating his hearing and sight impairments, he also had to recover from knee surgery. He is totally healed healed and ready to find his forever home! <br/><br/>Grove an active puppy. He loves other dogs, kids, butterflies, grass, flowers...if it exists, Grove loves it. He even loved his cast and going to the vet, everything is an exciting new adventure for Grove which he enthusiastically embraces. He is fearless and curious, he loves to be engaged and right next to his people, he's a true extra-strength Velcro dog. <br/><br/>Grove is doing well with house training, but will need guidance in a new environment, of course. We have materials to help his adopters which include a training plan that has been used with him since June. Dogs who are hearing impaired do require a special person to meet their needs, but they live happy and healthy lives! Grove will thrive with another dog to follow it's lead. He loves kids, but any kids in his new home will need to understand that while he seems like any other puppy, there are extra safety precautions that come with his hearing impairment. A fenced yard would be best to prevent any unintentional escape attempts. <br/><br/>Grove's littermates are all smart, social and happy dogs thriving with their forever families. Now it's Grove's turn! <br/><br/>Littermates: Born 2/24/25 Galaxy, Gemma, Ginko, Granite, Grove and Gloria<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE - We will check your veterinary reference, to ensure that current and prior dogs have a history of being kept up to date on rabies and distemper, <br/>Current pets must by spayed/neutered.<br/><br/>Adoption fees cover age specific vaccinations, martingale collar, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming and transport fees. <br/><br/>Adoption fees: <br/>Through 6 months of age $450; <br/>7 months to through 5 years $400; <br/>6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500; <br/>9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300 <br/><br/>This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England. <br/><br/>All dogs have a current Health Certificate for transport. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative. <br/><br/>FOR PUPPIES: PLEASE READ!!<br/>Homes considering Puppies must be prepared for:<br/>Flexible Schedules for Potty Training. Puppies can only hold urine for one hour per month of age. Crate Training for the next 10 months to keep them safe from chewing on everything in your home. Supervision with Children and Obedience training. <br/>Socialization; both with new people, children and other dogs outside of the home.<br/>Homes that want a well behaved dog, must be prepared to put the time, effort and costs associated to train a puppy.
