Meet Grizz

Hi, my name is Grizz. I was born on June 20th in North Carolina. My mom is a pitbull terrier and my dad is a full-blooded blue heeler. I weigh approximately 12 pounds.

I am the all-around bravest and most outgoing puppy in the bunch, with the longest legs and the most uppity ears. That said, I will often come find my foster mom because I want to be picked up or sit in her lap while she is doing whatever humans are doing. I love people, other dogs, and am curious about but respectful of the dog-saavy cats in the house. I LOVE TO RUN AND PLAY.

I was the first one to learn to jump up on the couch, and the first one to befriend my grumpy 9 year old ACD foster sister. I would love a doggy brother or sister to play with. I am a smart boy with lots of potential, and will need puppy training, lots of appropriate things to chew on, and an active lifestyle to channel my outgoing energy into the best companion ever.

(Foster mom note here: All three puppies have lived with cats and other dogs, and have been around children. They might grow as large as 40-50 lbs but we are unsure. They know 'sit' and 'no' and are highly food motivated. They respond well to training and are all smart, sweet, good natured dogs who all love to cuddle when calm. They are in process of potty training and are using puppy pads or going outdoors with 75% success. They do bark! Mostly when playing or at first when left alone but they are not particularly quiet dogs. They sleep together in a pen at night, and while they take 15 minutes or so to settle down, sleep comfortably through the night. The puppies have had each other their whole lives up to now, so anyone seeking to adopt them, especially without other dog companions in the home, MUST understand they will need time and support to adjust to being on their own, during the day or at night. It is also recommended that renters consider that the puppies look strongly pittie, despite being half cattledog, and be prepared for potential breed discrimination in housing.)

Grizz is located in Southbridge, MA. For questions, please contact annaeh@gmail.com.
