Meet Griffin
We'd like to introduce a special guest: Meet Griffin!
Griffin is under 1 year old and about 70lbs. Griffin came to our shelter after being hit by a car. He was rushed to the vet, since he had a huge laceration across his back and needed surgery. Thanks to Shelter Friends and generous donors, he was treated and has recovered well in his foster home.
Since day one, he has shown nothing but the sweetest of personalities, even when in incredible pain. He has been in foster care with children and other dogs and is a friend to all. His foster families rave about how sweet, well-mannered, playful, and snuggly he is! Here is what his current foster mom has to say about him:
"Despite the rough go he has had, he has maintained his sweet spirit.
Griffin loves people and chooses to be around them whenever possible.
Whenever I go into another room, he will hop up and follow me. He loves
to be petted and will roll over for a belly rub. He is also generous
with the doggie kisses! Griffin knows how to sit and to shake. He is fully potty trained and has had no accidents since being at our house.
When he's outside and wants to come back in, he sits or lays quietly and patiently at the door. He enjoys playing with our other dog and plays
well. He loves to chew on bones and likes to play with dog toys too.
Griffin is friendly and likes to meet new people. It appears he has some experience on a leash although may need some fine tuning of his leash skills. Griffin is a loving, friendly boy and will make a great addition to some lucky person or family!"
Griffin has tested positive for Heartworm and is looking for an adopter who can take over his treatment. Shelter Friends will sponsor these treatments at no cost to the adopters!
He's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on parasite preventatives. It is $165 to bring him home.
If you are interested in meeting this pet, please call (541) 474-5458 for an appointment. All appointments are made by phone (not email, Facebook or PetFinder) for the most up-to-date availability of the pets and the schedule. If we do not answer, we are either closed or caring for the animals, so please leave a voicemail — all voicemails are returned as soon as possible. Thank you!
