Griffin #6 Black Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

Everyone, please meet Griffin #6, a shy and sweet Labbie boy. Griffin is approximately 2.5 years old and weighs 60 pounds. He has had a rough few months as he was found running down a busy highway and brought to the local shelter. Griffin started to shut down once he arrived there and curled up in the back corner of his kennel, scared to come forward and approach people. He is now in a foster home, and is slowly, but surely becoming more comfortable with his new environment, but he still prefers to approach you rather than you approaching him and children can make him nervous. Although still shy with people, he follows the lead of the other dogs. They are his best friends and teachers, and he loves to play with them. Griffin isn’t sure about cats, but he ignores them when he sees them. He has learned to go into his crate, with a treat or his food. He is house trained, but is still getting accustomed to walking on a leash and he is making great progress. Griffin is such a sweet and kind hearted boy that will need some time to adjust to his new forever home. Having a fur sibling would help with his adjustment. ADOPTION FEES: $495 non-refundable adoption fee for all vet expenses (spay/neuter, shots, etc.) and transportation to ensure your lab gets to you in a safe, professional manner. All fees may be paid using PayPal, cashier's checks, or money orders. Labs4rescue does not accept personal checks for adoption fees. All adopters must pay their Labs4rescue adoption fee prior to the rescue shipping their dog.

Residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire are required to pay an additional $125 fee, which defrays the cost of their state's mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a licensed veterinarian.
