Meet Grey (Reduced Rover)

Grey is part of the Reduced Rover program with Take Paws Rescue. His adoption fee is $100 and includes 5 group training sessions!

Grey is available for foster or adoption. He is guessed to be a lab/greyhound/dane mix and is about 70 lbs. He is about 5 years old, dog friendly and fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, chipped and heartworm negative). We are not sure if he is good with cats, but he would prefer a home with adults only.

Grey has been with Take Paws Rescue since February of 2022. After 9 months he has yet to receive a single adoption application. He was surrendered after being boarded for the better part of a year in a facility with no yard for him to play in. Due to his prior treatment, he developed anxiety with being kenneled indefinitely.  He also didn't learn to share, since he never had much of his own.

Grey wants love, attention, patient owners, and a yard to play in with his people. Grey needs a home without children and needs daily exercise, such as running and mental tasks like basic obedience practice. Grey needs help with basic training and resource guarding.

In addition to the standard services/vetting covered by the Adoption Fee, Take Paws Rescue will provide the following free of charge:
?
5 group training sessions for Grey with "Not the Breed - People Training for Dogs"

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

*Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
