Greenley, 4 years old, spayed female, Pitbull Terrier mix, 44 pounds. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and can transport to another state once an adopter is approved.

Greenley and her puppies were rescued from euthanasia after being at the county shelter in Houston. Yes, the whole family was at risk of being put down! A wonderful family took them all in. Two of her puppies are still looking for homes and the other four have been adopted. She's been a really great mom to her pups and has always been super affectionate to humans around her pups.

She also shares a home with two adult dogs. She is energetic and wants to play with them. She does a lot of play bowing and wrestling. If there is another dog in the home, she needs one who enjoys and will engage in play.

There is a cat, rabbit and parrot in the house. She is kept separated from these pets with no issue, but we do not trust her to be unsupervised with them.

She has been around teenagers and has done well. She really loves to cuddle. She will jump up when excited (not onto you, but straight up into the air). We recommend a home with kids 10 years and older.

Greenley generally walks calmly on leash. She will get distracted, but you can easily draw her attention with a treat. She is crate trained and housebroken.

She is looking for a moderately active home. She would love to go on walks, trails, hikes etc. She has some bursts of energy and then chills out for awhile. She absolutely LOVES water! She is fairly calm when in the house and shows more energy when out in the yard. She is very food motivated and eager to please.

Her favorite toys are ones with squeakers. She is very affectionate and loving with her humans. She is happy to meet new people and greets them with tail wags. She is a little nervous when first riding in the car, but quickly settles in.

She would do great with another playful dog or would do great as the only pet. She is really looking for people who are affectionate and cuddly with her. She would also love a house with a hose to play in/with! She gets super excited and dances when you come into the room even if it’s only been a minute. She will talk to you if she feels she needs more attention.
