Crate trained: Mostly, he is fed in a crate. Graham goes in willing for mealtime but never goes in on his own at other times.

House trained: Yes, Foster has a doggy door, Graham takes care of this himself. If the adopter does not have a doggy door, there may be a training period where the human learns Graham's signals.

Good with dogs: yes

Good with cats: no

Good with kids: not likely due to his age, he has not been around children while in foster care.

Update 11/30:
Sweet Graham's wish as Christmas approaches is for a forever home. He is a delightful companion who would enjoy having his very own person. He's great with other dogs but his real focus is on YOU.
You may remember Graham's story: 8 years tied to a tree which led to arthritis in his elbows, spine and hips. While many of us are eager to put the year 2020 behind us, it has been the best year of Graham's life! OESR rescued him and has been most generous in giving him the care he needs to become active and, by appearances, pain free.
No more slow starts for Graham in the morning! He is up and ready to go! His favorite past time is goose "hunting" in a nearby park, followed by breakfast and a good nap. If I'm cooking, he naps in front of the refrigerator, If I'm at my desk, he's asleep on my foot (best way to monitor any potential activity that might mean food or an outing). We go to the woods or other parks in the afternoon to squirrel "hunt".

Graham is all about hanging out with his person or chasing anything that moves (no homes with cats please). Due to his structural problems, Graham is quite content with walks of a tenth to a quarter of a mile a couple of times a day. He'd be the perfect companion for a retired senior who wants an adoring pal. When he does occasionally go out in the fenced yard, he stalks the squirrels and bunnies. In pleasant weather he likes to nap under the bird feeder but is uninterested in anything more than watching the song birds. Because his life before rescue was so limited, he deserves to live the rest of it with as much stimulation and freedom to do fun doggy things as is possible.

Graham needs a very special home:
1- no more than one step (going down steps would hurt his elbows)
2 - an adopter able to lift him in and out of the car. Like going down steps, it would be too painful for his elbows to step down on them. His ideal weight should be about 40 pounds.
3 - fenced yard (because he won't poop when on leash). I have a doggy door so he takes care of business himself.
4 - an adopter willing to take him on short interesting walks (under one half mile b/c longer makes his left leg quiver), preferably where there are novel smells. Walking on ground rather than pavement is easier on his joints. According to the shelter, Graham spent 8 years tied to a tree. He is entitled to live out his days in an environment rich in scents, gentle experiences and love.
5 - someone committed to continuing Graham's pain management program. He takes several supplements that are essential to supporting bone and tissue. He also receives a NSAID, gabapentin, weekly laser treatments and monthly Adequan injections (which I give to keep cost down). Anyone applying as Graham's forever home needs to know that this regimen costs about $260/month and they need to commit to paying this for the next several years.
