Meet Gracie, a tender-hearted 11-year-old long-haired Chihuahua with a sweet soul and a whole lot of love to give.

Weighing in at 9 pounds, this petite senior lady is the definition of low-maintenance companionship. She's fully potty trained, wonderfully easy-going, and happiest when she's close to her person—whether she's curled up under the blankets at bedtime or quietly following you from room to room like your tiny shadow.

Gracie thrives in a calm, predictable home where someone is around more often than not. She’s deeply social and adores both familiar faces and new visitors—so much so that she'll spin in happy circles and cry until she gets the attention she craves. When she’s not lounging in a sunny backyard spot or gazing out the window, she’s politely letting you know (with a few barks!) that it’s time for a walk or a ride in the car—two of her absolute favourite things. Just a quick stroll in the front yard is enough to make her day.

While she mostly ignores other dogs, Gracie coexists peacefully with both small and large canine companions. She’s food-motivated but likes to eat like a spoiled princess. Her hearing seems a little inconsistent, but she doesn’t miss much when it comes to mealtime or spotting a chance to explore the great outdoors.

Because Gracie is eager to greet the world, she would do best in a home with minimal foot traffic and a secure fence—she's been known to try and sneak out the door for an adventure! She misses her humans when she’s home alone, so she’s looking for a forever home where her adopters are home more often than not and apartments wouldn’t be ideal since she can be vocal.

Gracie is currently fostered in Round Rock, TX and is available for adoption in Texas and the Northeastern states.
