Meet Gracee

Gracee is ready to share her story! ?

I am a survivor. From being dumped, to ending up in a full shelter, to being diagnosed with Parvo and needing out of the shelter by the end of the day....I survived it all. Of course, I had some help from some amazing people and this rescue. But I wanted to live. I wanted to find a family. I wanted to go on adventures. I wanted to have a big brother or sister to look up to. I wanted to be a normal puppy! And so I fought. I spent several days at the vet but I overcame and kicked Parvo's butt!

My name is Gracee and I am a 10lb, 10 week old female Great Pyrenees/Aussie mix. My guess right now is that I will stay in the 50-60lb range once full grown. I have a beautiful cream and gold colored coat and am ready to steal your heart! ?

While I am super excited to find my forever family, I do not want to rush into anything. I want you and I both to be sure that we are a match! To help with that, I had my fosters fill out this questionnaire about me.

-How does your foster act when meeting new people?
Excited.

-Does your foster jump on people?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Has your foster been to any public settings?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Does your foster like going on walks?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Is your foster leash trained?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-How does your foster do on car rides?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Describe your fosters energy level?
Playful but calmer than her sister Giblet.

-Is your foster a big chewer?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Does your foster like to play fetch?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Does your foster like to play in the water?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Does your foster play with Toys?
Yes.

-Do you think your foster would be okay with free-roam of the house even if you are away?
Not yet. We recommend setting up a play pen area or baby gating her somewhere if you have to leave the house.

-Does your foster have food aggression?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Does your foster resource guard?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-Is your foster good with other dogs?
Yes.

-How does your foster act around other dogs?
Playful and curious.

-Does your foster need another dog in their new home?
Either a dog or a family member that is home most of the time

-Is your foster good with cats?
Yes.

-Is your foster good with kids?
Yes.

-Where does your foster stay when no one is home.
In the designated dog room.

-Is your foster potty trained?
Not yet.

-Is your foster kennel trained?
No.

-Where does your foster sleep at night?
In the designated dog room.

-Would your foster dog do good in an apartment?
It would depend on how often her new family is home and their activity level

-Is your foster a big barker?
N/A, she is still too young to say.

-What would be your fosters ideal home?

As a growing puppy it would be helpful to have a friendly dog in the house that can help her learn the ropes. She is very sweet but a little on the shy side so socialization will be important.

-Is there anything else you would like to mention about your foster dog?

Gracee is very sweet and definitely a people dog. While she enjoys running and exploring she will trade that for a good snuggle if given the opportunity. She is food motivated and a people pleaser so training should go very well for her. With proper socialization she will be the kind of pup that you can take anywhere. Her endearing nature would also make her a good candidate for a potential therapy dog one day ??

Now that you have heard from my foster, let us talk about the logistics of you getting to bring me home! ?

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Skiatook, OK.

-Would I need to come to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! ?

-Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state!

-How much is your adoption fee?

My adoption fee is $275.

That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
