Gotti's Story

Gotti is a 73-pound lovebug with a head shaped like a cinder block and a heart shaped like a marshmallow. He’s the kind of dog that makes people stop mid-walk and go, “Wow! Where did you get him?!” His brindle coat has this stunning silver shine to it, like somebody polished him up for a dog fashion show. He’s genuinely a one-of-a-kind show-stopper, inside and out!

Born in March of last year, he’s still young, but he carries himself with this calm, dignified energy — like he pays taxes and has a favorite jazz album. Most of the time, Gotti is steady, relaxed, and affectionate. When playtime hits though, he’s out there cutting up like somebody’s fun uncle at a cookout.

And yes, we are fully obsessed with his big block head. It’s basically a very sweet, very handsome brick of love. The kind of head you just want to hold like you’re steering a friendly ship.

Gotti is an extremely people-friendly big ham. The kind of dog who leans into you like, “Hey man… just checking… you still love me?” He loves attention, loves being close, and has that warm, easy vibe that makes everyone feel like his friend.

He’s currently living with his diva mom and his playful sister. His momma wants to play when she wants to play, and she does not take no for an answer, so Gotti has basically learned patience as a lifestyle. He’s sweet, tolerant, and has wonderful dog manners.

He enjoys other dogs and would absolutely love a home with a canine buddy, but he’s also confident enough to be your one-and-only, thriving as a single pup star.

He’s got the good roommate credentials too: potty trained, crate trained, and knows how to settle when the vibes are clear. Like any young dog, he’ll benefit from continued guidance and confidence-building in new places, but his default setting is lovable.

Gotti would do beautifully with first-time dog owners or seasoned rescue families alike. He’s affectionate, steady, goofy in the best way, and truly just such a good boi.

If you want a calm companion with a playful spark, a dog who can be your shadow, your yard buddy, and your daily serotonin boost, Gotti’s might be exactly what you're looking for!

See more videos of this heart-stealing ham along with his two comedic sidekicks here:
https://youtube.com/shorts/8U5zQPb5TYE?feature=share

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://petsave.formstack.com/forms/petsave_adoption_application

+++++++

Gotti is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue. We have transports departing each week.

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — strong and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review it and reach out to set up an interview with one of our volunteers. If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com
.
Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
