Meet Gorilla

Gorilla is about one year old and off the euthanasia list at MCACC March 16, 2014. He is young but right now he is ill. He is both heart worm positive and tick fever positive. He won't be able to be neutered until he is better and is in need of a quiet foster home while he is being treated. He is probably a standard schnauzer and PBGV mix at about 45 lb.

He rode in the car after being picked up with five elementary age girls and loved every minute of it. He is not so happy being in the hospital.

If you would like to contribute to his care, please go to and click on the donate button. We are a 501(c)3 organization.

Gorilla's adoption fee is $250 once he is healthy. If the adoption doesn't work out for some reason with in the first thirty days, the adoption fee is refunded upon return of the dog. Our contract states that during the life of the dog, should something happen that you can not keep any of our dogs, the dog must be returned to VSGSR. Should a family member wish to adopt the dog, they would be given first priority. We are responsible for our dogs for their entire life. If interested, please email us at for more information. Emailing is the best way to contact us as we are all volunteers.
