Meet Gonzo

I'm an amazing guy and I need help to find an amazing home. This lady, who is my foster, is letting me crash at her place. I love spending time with her and her husband.

I love car rides and growled once at some sus teenager that tried to get in my foster mom's car and put weird bags in it (grocery pick up). But, my foster mom said leave it and I went back to being my good boy self. I am a little shy, but once you get to know me; I bring it!

I want to please you human and am a stage 5 clinger. I’m really smart, playful, and love fetch. Just tell me out when I bring the ball back to you. My ball is my life and Zen for me. Sweetness and silliness are what I am all about.

I will talk to you, and I like it when we communicate. I want a leader and someone who is familiar with dogs and some training. I am easily redirected and a calm guy. I am a friendly and well-mannered dog who won't jump on you, takes treats gently from your hand, and loves to play fetch with my ball.

I know the following commands: sit, focus, down, off, leave it, out, no, and come. Knowing the words Good Boy is my top priority.

I will actively seek your approval and will look to you for guidance, support, and affection. I'm looking for a leader who has both training experience and a willingness to teach me. The lady walked me with ease, despite my strength. Despite not knowing what I went through, the lady believes that reassurance and support are what I need.

I would like older children 10+ with supervision and me on a lead until the boundaries are clear. I want someone who takes me playing seriously because it helps me bond with you.

I came from a farm where I had lots of space to run. I have been around horses and when the horses came out in the other field, I couldn't care less. I am 4 years old, neutered, UTD on vaccines and I am waiting for you!

I appreciate calm, kind, and patient humans. I am a really cool boy who would like a chance.
