Meet Goldy D64353
From his foster: Goldy is as good as they come! He's sweet, calm, cuddly, playful, dog friendly, people friendly and rarely barks. He's just as happy to go outside or for walks and meet other dogs as he is to cuddle up on the couch and watch TV. He lives for belly rubs! He sleeps in my office all day while I work from home and he sleeps in bed with me at night. He loves to go under the covers! He seems to be completely house trained!
We haven't done any crate training yet, so I'm not sure about that, and he's pretty anxious in the car so we're doing some training there. He also seems to be reactive/aggressive towards men, so at this point I'd say he needs a female only household.
I could see him being an only dog or live with multiple dogs as playmates. I haven't seen how he is around kids, but judging by what I've seen already, I think he'd be fine. He's a true gem!
From the Vet:
Goldy was seen recently with a TBB veterinary partner and has already had a dental and neuter procedure performed where he had all of his remaining teeth extracted. Dogs without any teeth do surprisingly well and eating kibble normally, but his future family could consider soaking kibble if that seems better for him. During that procedure the veterinarian noted an open oral nasal fistula that was unable to be repaired due to the chronic dental disease. ONF's may cause some upper respiratory symptoms so Goldy should be monitored for this routinely in the future. Goldy was also evaluated for an injury to his left knee that will need orthopedic surgery. TBB is working with our surgery partners to get this scheduled for May 15th. TBB would agree to cover the MPL surgery +/- 1 recheck and any medications associated with those appointments. Post op recovery and activity restriction is recommended for about 8-12 weeks post op, so his future home should be comfortable with these medical needs.
