Goldie Husky & Labrador Retriever Mix Scranton, PA

Goldie is a wonderful Husky mix who was recently rescued from a high kill shelter after being brought in by her former owner when they could not afford to treat her for heart-worm disease. She is three years of age and she weighs about 35 lbs. She is a lean lady with a full coat that makes her appear larger. Some TLC in a home of her own will help her fill out. Her former owner says that she is good with other dogs and also with cats when she is introduced properly. Goldie showed the shelter volunteers what a beautiful, polite lady she is when they had her out with other dogs. First time out and first time meeting volunteers, she walked gracefully on leash and met all other dogs politely and calmly. She is pretty much a "perfect" dog except for one thing.... NO CHICKENS FOR GOLDIE.
This beautiful girl, with one blue eye, has already been spayed and is current with vaccinations. She has recently been treated for heart-worm disease and is well past her "restricted activity" part of her recovery. Goldie is on heart-worm and flea and tick preventatives and she is also micro-chipped. She is in need of a foster home, or a permanent home, when she arrives on transport on Sunday, Sept. 26th and we are taking applications for her now. The suggested adoption donation for Goldie is $325 to help offset the cost of ongoing vet bills. Goldie was adopted by her "Foster-to-Adopt" mom. She is now called "Gabi" and she will be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of her life in Old Forge, PA!!

The application is ALWAYS the first step in our adoption process. Please do not contact us through pet finder or emails us since that will only be a waste of our time and yours. Much care is taken to include as much information on each dog or puppy as we have on-hand at the time the dogs are posted. Dogs who have adoptions scheduled are marked as "pending" and we will not be taking any applications on those dogs.
We will not adopt a dog to you if all of your current pets are not spayed/neutered. This is a non-negotiable policy. All cats and dogs MUST be up-to-date with their rabies vaccinations, including indoor only cats.

We are trying to strictly follow all suggested safety precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. All recommendations will be respected with as limited person-to-person contact as allowed.
