Meet Gold and Mond (siblings looking for separate homes)
Gold & Mond are looking for a foster or forever home (separate homes)
They’re currently in the Kawartha Lake, ON area
Gold & Mond are ~2 years old Jindo mix siblings. Gold is a 21kg neutered boy and Mond is an 18kg spayed girl
They would both benefit from becoming more independent and each find a home of their own. They’re both shy and generally neutral to people, although Gold is a bit more shy than Mond. They don’t like being touched yet, but will take treats when they’re in their safe spot in crate/pen. They’re also very neutral with other dogs as long as they don’t approach too enthusiastically; otherwise they’re not really interested in them. With proper introductions, they could bond with another dog in the home.
They’re both crate-trained and house-trained. In fact, they love being in their crate. They’re also not barkers, have no food or toy possessive issues, and have no destructive behaviours in general. They’re great on leash walking and love to go on long walks with minimal distractions. They also love to chase squirrels!
They have a low-to-medium prey drive for toys: kongs, rubber tugs, and bones. They’re still working on walking in busy environments with passing vehicles as they get nervous, but they’re learning to overcome their fears.
Mond likes to go for car rides - it’s a 50/50 chance she’ll jump in the car, but once she’s in, she just sits and enjoys the view. Patience will be key to bond with them, and the only way you will gain their trust. If you try to force them to do something, they’ll get frustrated and shut down.
Mond and Gold were rescued from a meat farm with their brother, Silver. Silver has found his forever home in Toronto.
Please offer them a patient loving home with lots of positive reinforcement. They’re great dogs and just need lots of love and patience to come out of their shells. They can go to separate homes.
