ESTIMATED DOB: 2009-2011
Found near I294 as a stray by the local police the vet hospital caring for her named her Glory to fit with the Christmas season. She was severely matted and needed to be shaved.
Once she gets to know you, Glory loves to spend time with people and she is a very loyal and intelligent dog. She is loving and likes to snuggle. She especially loves tummy rubs and scratches on her back. And to give doggie kisses.
Glory takes a bit to warm up to new people and situations and will initially bark and be quite vocal when meeting new people. She needs someone who will be patient as she adjusts but once she does she’ll make an excellent companion for her adopter(s). Glory sometimes enjoys the companionship of the other dogs in her foster home but can also be pushy and jealous of them. She would prefer to have all of the attention to herself. For that reason she’d do best as an only dog or in a home with one other, laid-back dog.
Glory is an older gal but she is also quite active and loves to walk and sniff and run around and is quite agile and fast. Although she definitely has some energy at times, she spends quite a bit of time sleeping and loves her long naps in her favorite doggie beds.
Glory has not been around cats or children in her foster home and due to how takes a bit to adjust to new people we do not recommend a home with younger children.
Glory will need to be in a home who will groom her or send her to the groomer periodically so that she doesn’t get matted. A girl needs to look good, right?
