Meet GLEN

GLEN:8 weeks old and 6lbs as of 1/11/20, Red -Tick Coonhound Mix

Please welcome GLENand his9 siblings to NYC.We were fortunate enough to rescue their mom - GINGER. Ginger is a stunner and clearly her pups inherited her good looks. We estimate GLENto be between 50 & 60lbs full grown. Hismom is about 60 lbs to give you a frame of reference. A literal golden boy, GLEN can do no wrong. Well, that's not entirely true he can probably do some "wrong," like he might chew on your sneakers or poop on some stuff he's not supposed to, but if he's a puppy and that's what puppies do, is it actually wrong? Logic dictates: not really. And you won't love him any less for it. If anything, it will be a bonding experience. You'll feel a hot flash of annoyance for a minute, and then you'll get through it together what certainly won't kill you will, indeed, make you a stronger unit. This 9-week-old redtick coonhound mix is ready to couple up, take on the legendary sidekick role, and be you two against the world as you boldly take on 2020. GLEN is kind, eager to please, very social, and ready for years of adventure. He'll need lots of exercise and training as he becomes the smart, well behaved, athletic adult he's destined to be. His foster mom says: "Glen is a great puppy! He loves to play but definitely enjoys his naps Whether hes playing with rope toys or cuddling with you on the couch, youre bound to fall in love with this cutie! Hes pretty easy going. He likes to relax in small spaces when hes not cuddly, most notoriously under our couch! Hes doing well with potty training on wee wee pads."GLENis good with cats, dogs and respectful kids. What Is A Red Tick Coonhound?:A Red Tick Coonhound is a breed of dog that was originally bred to be a hunting hound. Originally bred to hunt "coons" - hence their name. These guys can have a high prey drive and are ruled by their nose. They make a great dog for an active family.

What Does Owning this Dog Ential?: This puppy is considered a working breed dog since this breed was originally bred to do a job. It's going to be very importantto keep Glenstimulated both physically and mentally. Training will be key with this puppy. A well trained dog is a happy dog. As a full grown adult you can expect to spend about 90 minutes a day outdoors going for a walk or run or playing at a dog park. Hounds are the best snugglers in our experience and are great dogs for an active person.

PLEASE NOTE: This animal is not at the Social Tees office (325 East 5thStreet) all of our dogs and cats are in foster homes while they wait to find their forever families. :) If youd like to apply to adopt this pet, please complete an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org.Because we are a small team and receive hundreds of applications each week, we are unable to respond to every application and every inquiry email, but we do our best.
