***Gizmo will bite and gets set off easily so we are going to be extremely cautious on who adopts him
A note from his foster:
He definitely has that puppy energy. He loves to play fetch and loves his toys. When he sees his leash, he gets super excited to go for a walk and loves being outside. Definitely needs someone who can take him for walks.
He seems to be potty trained other than the marking. He has never pooped inside.
I would say no small or hyper kids as he does get overstimulated and can redirect that.
He is a resource guarder, so if they do have another dog in the house they will need to keep toys separated and feed separately. Also he seems to guard the couch and pillows. So if you're sitting on the couch and he sits next to you, don't pet him.
We still don't understand 100% of his triggers but it mainly seems to be guarding what he likes. He's a very independent little dude but also enjoys being held and cuddled. But will guard the person holding him lol. I think you guys had him with cats at the facility and he did well, so he should be fine in a home with cats.
Gizmo also has one eye that is smaller than the other. This was checked out by our vet and was believed to be genetic. They did not say it needed to be removed and he is able to see out of it.

We are a rescue, and although we have a facility in Modesto most of our dogs/pups are currently being fostered in or around our area. So please be willing to make the trip to see them if you are from out of the area. Our adoption process REQUIRES that an application must first be submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our pets. Just note that we may get several responses on one pet at a time so just because you have an approved application does not mean said pet is on hold for you. One must FIRST confirm an appointment to meet the pet after an approved application has been sent. To inquire about this specific pet, please write to info@pupznpalz.org for an application. Please remember to put the pets name in the subject line when emailing, and on the top on the application. It helps us to help you that must faster. We are a group of volunteers, and ask that you please bare with us. We will get to each person just as quickly as we can.
