Meet Ginger Snap
Born in approximately January 2019, Ginger Snap is a female German Shepherd mix. This sweet girl spent some time as a stray and so she's getting lots of socialization in her foster home and learning that people are friendly and to be trusted. She's a little skittish and shy but very sweet. Here's what Ginger Snap says about herself, "Hi! I’m an 8 month old Puerto Rican street dog otherwise known as a Sato. I came to Mikey’s Chance via a shelter in New Mexico. I’m still pretty reserved with most people but am starting to really come out of my shell. I’m still working on leash training. I will walk fine until we come to a doorway, then I freeze. I’d say that is pretty good because I used to freeze as soon as a leash was attached to me. I am pretty energetic so I am either playing with all my foster buddies or running laps around the back yard. I need a 6 ft fence and a good size backyard to run in. I’m 97% house trained. I do have an accident every once in a while when I am playing and just forget. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate at night. I’m an early riser. I’m grumbling and complaining if my foster mom doesn’t let me out by 5:30. I can be pretty vocal so I really am not suited for an apartment or condo living. I live with dogs ranging from tiny puppies, which I love, to a doberman and Pitt Bull, whom I love MORE than the puppies. Big dogs make me happiest! I love to play with them. I would love to have a big dog brother or sister at my forever home. How fun would that be?!?!?!!! I am up to date on all my shots , have been microchipped and am spayed."
Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise.
