Ginger is a fairly active, sweet, happy, well behaved girl. She likes most people. She adores attention. She loves her back scratched, ears rubbed, nose scratches and cuddling. Her favourite way to get your attention is when you are standing, she will go around behind you and poke her head between your knees, sit down and wait for nose scratches.
She is quiet in the house. Ginger thinks she is a lap dog. She will ask you if it is okay to sit on the couch. If she is not allowed on the couch she will lay at your feet making sure she is touching them, or place her head on your lap and have you lightly pet her head. She really would like to sleep with her person, but her size sometimes makes that impossible so she will settle for a comfy dog bed or pillow beside the bed.
Ginger is fairly active outside. She likes running around in a secure fenced yard. She plays fetch and tug of war with her person. She likes playing with other dogs of similar size at her foster home. They run around chasing each other, and wrestling. She also lives with smaller dogs but shows no interest in them. Ginger lives with cats at her foster home and sometimes will chase them around the house. It is not recommended there be cats in her forever home.
Ginger is very smart and learns quickly. She is house trained. She is still learning to walk on leash without pulling. She likes durable chew toys. She doesn’t bark a lot. She will bark for a minute at someone at the door but quickly stops and wants pets from them. Ginger likes car ride and the new adventure.
Ginger is looking for a home where her back yard is safe, secure and fairly large for her to run in. The most important thing to her is to have her person love her unconditionally.
Further details can be discuss in detail with her foster. Ginger deserves a chance at a happy life with a family of her own.
