It’s the first thing people notice, and it only makes him more lovable.

He came to us as a stray in rough shape—dangerously underweight and clearly neglected. But with plenty of care, good food, and the love of his foster family, Gilly has made an incredible recovery and truly come into his own. He’s now a happy, well-mannered dog who’s ready for a forever home.

He’s housebroken, crate-trained (and absolutely loves his crate), and so trustworthy he doesn’t even need to be crated at night. He walks beautifully on leash with his harness and enjoys outdoor adventures at local parks and trails. He also gets along great with his husky foster sibling, and the two are always playing in the yard or the house.

Gilly is very smart, treat-motivated, and has worked hard on his manners—he’s made great progress with not jumping and now patiently waits for his meals in a slow feeder bowl. His favorite things? Belly rubs, cheek massages, and opening presents (especially during the holidays).

If you’re looking for a playful, goofy, incredibly sweet companion with a one-of-a-kind look, Gilly is ready to steal your heart.
