Meet Gil
Personality: easygoing, gentle, snuggler, outgoing, and quiet.
If you're looking for a snuggly companion, Gil could be your guy! This total cuddle bug adores being the center of attention and soaking up pets, but he's just as happy to snooze the day away buried under blankets.
Gil is a smart, well-mannered pup who is fully house trained and knows words like "sit," "stay," and "stop." He is also trusted to be home alone outside of his crate. Gil enjoys his daily neighborhood walks and is always eager to explore a new street-though be prepared for plenty of sniff stops along the way!
Gil tends to draw attention wherever he goes, with passersby often stopping to pet him and smile. He currently lives peacefully with two cat sisters and would likely get along well with other pets.
Looking for a pup who's affectionate, cuddly, and always ready for some one-on-one love? Apply today to meet Gil!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
