Meet Gidget

Gidget has found her forever home in Bellingham with Christine and Russell!

Adoption Fee: $400
Adoption Coordinator: Carol

Gidget is an active girl weighing 42 lbs at 3 years in age. She was found as a stray in TN, but now LOVES getting attention and playing with the other dogs in her foster home. Gidget has medium/high energy and loves spending time outside running around and needs a fenced yard. She would be great as either an only dog in an active home where she gets lots of attention, or as a second dog in a home with another dog who enjoys lots of playtime. Gidget is a smart girl and very trainable. She is house and crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. Although Gidget can be very gentle, she likes to put her paws on people, so will do best in a home with older children (10 and up). An experienced dog owner who will provide some additional training is preferred. Gidget was showing some stress related to transport and quarantine when she first arrived, but has started to settle down and will make a wonderful family addition in the right home. She was adopted briefly to a home with a cat and we have found she is not good with cats, so needs a cat free home.

Please read more about our rescue and process on our website www.foreverhomerescue.org. If interested, the first step in our process is to complete an application. Approved applicants can meet her by appointment with her foster.

Please complete an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up. If you are approved to adopt, please submit the $100 deposit by clicking on our rescue's name in this posting (Forever Home Rescue New England--in purple) which will bring you to a new page with the deposit link at the bottom. STOP! If you have not been notified of your approval status do not make a deposit.
