Gideon Dachshund & Chihuahua Mix Cincinnati, OH

Meet Gideon! I think his ears make up most of his 10 lb body weight! A shy, but absurdly sweet, chi/doxie-mix. He came from a hoarding case in TN, and he is understandably timid. The vet estimates Gideon between 3-5 years old. He loves following his people everywhere, however he doesn't yet accept petting. I think with time he will definitely start to trust more. Gideon gets along great with my two female dogs. He seems to show a bit of apprehension around male dogs that are larger than him (which it's hard not to be with his little legs!) Potty training is still underway; he is going on pee pads inside and also going outside whenever he is let out. He is crate trained, but he prefers to stay out, if possible. He is playful with my younger dog, but his favorite activity is curled up in a ball, snoozing. He has not been tested around children, or other animals. He would do best with someone who is very patient and can let him outside often.
