Any other specifics:
Gibson is a lover of all people! This handsome face just pulls at the heartstrings, doesn't it?! Gibson has completed his heartworm treatment and is ready to find his furever family. He is a total goofball who happy dances in the leaves, gives hugs on command and shows his people how much he loves them every day!
He is great with other dogs, but way too interested in cats, so no kitties please.
Gibson has been great around the children he's met and every adult human. He tends to think he is a lap dog and likes to put his paws on you for love, so bigger kids, teenagers and adults are better size matches for this hunk of burning love.

Gibson is crate trained and house trained. He normally just lays on the couch when left alone. He is a bit of a shadow dog when his people are home and always wants to be in their company, even if it's napping at your feet while you work from home.

Will you be a Hero in Gibson's story?

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.  As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
