Meet Gia
**PLEASE READ GIA'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING. THANK YOU**
This is our beautiful girl, Gia! This little cutie is a 4 year old female terrier mix who is about 17lbs. Gia came to us as an owner surrender who let her get pregnant 2 times (that we know of) and then became overwhelmed when he had too many dogs. We took in the family of pups and they have all been adopted except Gia who is still looking for her forever home! This little lady loves to talk...boy does she love to talk. She is what we call in rescue a "bark talker." Gia has been in a foster home for quite some time and will probably have a bit of a hard time adjusting when she gets adopted so we are looking for owners that are loving, kind, patient, and will give her that time to feel relaxed and safe. We want Gia in a home with another sweet dog. She does not get along great with females, only males. She just completely ignores the female dogs, but loves to engage and play with the male dogs (she had all male puppies, so maybe that is the reason). Gia and her puppies were kept in a garage 24/7 with no socialization, but she has come such a long way and is such a loving little girl! She loves people and is great with kids 10 years old and older. Probably due to her being kept outside, she is still getting the hang of potty training and will occasionally got potty inside the house. A home with carpet probably isn't a good idea. She loves being outside so a home with a safe and enclosed backyard would be amazing! She loves to be brushed and scratched. In fact, if you stop she will beg for more! We do notice she gets itchy time to time and will require a cytapoint shot from the vet when needed, so that needs to be taken into consideration as they are approximately $80 and last about 3 months. Gia is really just a sweet and loving girl who really deserves her forever home!
WE ONLY ADOPT IN LOS ANGELES AND SURROUNDING AREAS AS A HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED.
