Meet Gerard
SCCR dog one day, SCCR dog forever!
Gerard joined the Second City family a couple of years ago, and through no fault of his own, he is back with us. He is an awesome beagle mix who weighs 30 pounds, and he is a professional charmer with his intense brown eyes.
A sweet grandpa at 13 years old, Gerard is looking for his forever family. Gerard is suspected to be deaf, but he loves to be with his people, so if he can’t find you he will call you. No jokes! Gerard is known to whine to let you know he is looking for you and he lost you. How sweet is that?
Sweet Gerard will do better in a house where his new family is home a lot because he needs to stay on a tight schedule to avoid any accidents. He is working very hard to improve, but you know at a certain age, habits are hard to break. In exchange for your love and patience, he will respect your belongings and won’t chew on anything that isn't his. Gerard does not love his crate, but he has no interest in being on furniture. If he has a dog bed to lay on, this gentleman will be very happy.
Gerard will be happy to go on walks, but don’t expect him to walk too much, what he loves is sniffing around. So many smells to discover and not enough time!
