Meet George(Paws in Prison Participant)

George, 40# terrier/cur mix, 1 year old, adoption fee $250
Well, by George...it’s George. Yes, we have a dog named George. And he’s a cutie pie! He’s lively, bouncy and ready to go wherever you want to do. Doesn’t matter where it is or how far it is, the boy is ready to go. George is listed as some sort of terrier mix, but he looks like there’s a good old cur in there, too He’s a cool looking young man with his black and white and brown hair and those speckled feet. George is two years old and weighs 40 pounds. He’s all grown up and just waiting for someone to ask him to move in. He’s a sweet dog with a sunny disposition. Plenty of fun when it’s time for fun...he will even play fetch the ball! He loves people, but has not been tested around very young children. Then he is more than willing to snuggle up for Netflix in the den. George is super smart and he’s going to soak up his lessons like a thirsty sponge. There’s no telling what this guy can learn!!!
APPLICATION under “More about us”
Current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative on monthly preventative, microchipped

George is in the Paws in Prison program where dogs receive obedience training. This dog is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison in May. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive their training journal. This journal documents everything from entering the facility, daily training progress, and interactions with trainers.
