George's Story

If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at info@greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org. **

George is like a retired gentleman whose main career these days is professional napping—with a side hustle in giving kisses. Born around August 2018, this mellow sweetheart has universal appeal. He's great with kids, adults, dogs, cats, and anyone who takes the time to pet him (so, everyone). George is a guy who needs a dog pal in his life, and he could easily join a furry roommate situation with zero drama. He does need a little time to settle into a new environment—especially when confronted with those baffling contraptions humans call stairs—but once he feels comfy, he’s the easygoing, happy, big-hearted boy every home dreams of. He’s not one to bark or dig, and don’t worry, if you accidentally leave him outside too long, he’ll politely remind you that he prefers the comforts of indoors. George isn’t looking for adventure; he’s looking for cozy couches, quiet naps, belly rubs, and a forever human who appreciates a low-maintenance snuggle buddy. His true passions are lounging, snoozing in creative poses, and following his humans everywhere—think “giant, fuzzy bodyguard”, but with a much stronger interest in cuddles than in combat. He’s mellow, he’s sweet, and he’s ready to bring his nap game—and his big happy heart—to your home. George will be a daily reminder that you have officially hit the jackpot with the sweetest, happiest couch potato in town.

ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206.

All dogs and puppies require VISIBLE fencing

Adoption fee: $350 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel).
