Meet George
George came to us from a shelter after his time was up. He tested positive for Heartworms and was a matted mess. Someone had not taken very good care of him but whatever his past life was, it is behind him now! On his road to recovery, George has been quite affectionate and glad to be with us. He is a sweet boy and will lay next to you while you spend time brushing and loving him. He loves to cuddle and likes to sit on your lap. He will need time to learn how to live in a home with someone who is patient to teach him everything. He also needs to continue to learn independence. George continues to strengthen his weak hind legs (typical of a crated & not exercised dog) & it just breaks our hearts. He can presently do up to 4 stairs.
**URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR DEWORMING RECOVERY**
At the end of July 2020, he starts Phase 2 of Heartworm treatment, which can be dangerous & requires **NO EXERCISE** or exertion.
