Genie Fox Terrier & Chihuahua Mix Palatine, IL

Hello! Genie here! I’m an 11-year-old Terrier/Chihuahua mix weighing only 8 pounds and actively seeking a nice warm lap to snuggle in!
 
I was found as a stray in Chicago, and I’ve had a bit of a rough go of it. I’m deaf and mostly blind and I’m missing all of my teeth — bright side: I won’t chew up your things! I’m learning the ropes of being in a loving home, including general manners and potty training with potty pads. I do find my crate very comforting and love to burrow into my blankets and hang out in there. On a warm day, I enjoy exploring the yard; on a cold day, all I really want to do is melt into your lap and take snoozes.
 
I would thrive in a quieter home with only adults. Because of my hearing and vision issues, young children will probably startle me. I’m fine with cats and other dogs, but would prefer them to be on the quieter side, like me.

NOTE: Genie will need eyedrops twice a day (cost $30/month).
