Meet Gemmie! Gemmie is a 4-5 year old female chihuahua mix and she weighs about 10 pounds. Gemmie arrived in rescue when her previous home could no longer care for her and the large amount of other pups in her previous home. She was nervous at first, but settled into foster care nicely and is ready to find her forever home. Her foster mom says: Gemmie AKA Gemma, and aka Gem is a gorgeous lil lady with stunning eyes!!! She is very unique looking for sure! Yes, she is mostly hairless but has a few patches of very fine hair on her chest and tail area. She was very timid and shy when she first arrived and it will take her some time to warm up but once she does her tail is always wagging and she often will have her whole body shaking with excitement to see you. She loves to give you tons of kisses and enjoys belly rubs. You will find her sometimes napping under a cozy blanket. Gem's bottom tooth gets caught up on her upper lip which makes for a very cute “look” and will keep you entertained for sure. Fast movements make her nervous so a home without young children would be best for her. She is not 100% house trained but we are working hard on this. Gem came in with other dogs that she gets along great with but will need to do slow intros if you have another pup in the home! Pups her size or smaller would be the best fit for her. She is terrified of a leash and collar so she must have a fenced in backyard while learning the leash is a good thing. If you’re looking for a new gorgeous bff Gem is your girl!

Gemmie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned!
