Meet Gemma

Gemma is a delightful 6-month-old puppy weighing in at 15 pounds. While we're not entirely sure of her breed, she might be a mix of Chihuahua, Corgi, and possibly Dachshund. Gemma was surrendered to a crowded shelter along with her mom and four siblings, all of whom have since found new rescues. It seems they may have come from a situation involving backyard breeders.
Despite her rocky start, Gemma's spirit shines brightly. She's a sweetheart who adores belly rubs and has a
playful, spunky side. Although she's a bit shy around new faces, she warms up quickly and is eager to make friends.
Currently, Gemma is in a loving foster home where she's learning the ropes of house training. She's up-to-date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and will be spayed soon. Gemma gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a gentle, submissive nature that suggests she'd likely do well with cats, though she hasn't been tested with them yet.
