Meet Gemma

am Gemma, and I am looking for a new best friend. Could it be you? As an Australian Cattle Dog, I am a smart dog, if I do say so myself, so my new home would have to be able to accommodate my need for physical and mental exercise.
I am friendly and I get along with other medium sized dogs very well in my home. I have an issue with other dogs out on the trail. My foster parents are working with me on that.
Does well with cats;
Loves to play fetch and tug-o-war.
Good on leash until she encounters dogs she doesn't know.
She appears to bond quicker to females and will pick one human to really bond to.

Gemma would need an experienced owner. No kids under 12, No apartments.

Adoption Fee: $400
San Francisco Bay Area adoption only.

If you would like to meet Gemma, please apply at http://www.lovewoof.org/our-animals .

Adoption Process:
Once an adoption counselor receives and approves your application, they will contact you (only if you match the animal's needs) to set up an appointment to meet the dog you applied for and/or any of the other dogs in the rescue. If the dog you applied for is not a good match for your particular situation, there might be others that are better matches.

Adoption Fees:
Adoption fees allow WOOF Animal Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs while we look for their forever homes. The fees also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the rescue, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes.

WOOF Animal Rescue, in Fremont CA, does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and rabies shots appropriate for their age, dewormed and microchipped.
