Meet Instagram Star Gazelle
Gazelle has been in a great foster home for several weeks and is doing very well but is still looking for her forever family. The family had planned to adopt her but their other dog is not thrilled about having a high-energy canine sibling, unfortunately.
Gazelle is so pretty, affectionate and athletic and loves to run and play. She is approximately 1 or 2 years old, housebroken and has been spayed and updated on her vet care. She just completed her basic obedience class at Alpha Dog K9 and is super smart and a very quick learner. She loves water and uses the kiddie pool at her foster home all the time.
She enjoys being active so an ideal home for her has a big fenced yard where she can run and play fetch and an owner that enjoys walking their dog every day. She loves to play with other dogs but might be happiest as your only pup since she is still learning. She can't live with cats. She loves toys and happily plays with them for hours.
She is a fast learner and would love to go to nosework or agility classes, hiking, running or doing other activities with her owner. She is very friendly and makes lots of friends when she is out hiking with our volunteers.
We give priority to people that fill out our adoption application, so if you are interested in meeting this dog, please go to https://www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms/dog and fill out the application.
E-mail inquiries about a dog are not considered an application.
If a dog is listed on our website, that means that dog is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our dog adoption fee for dogs 5 years old or younger is $350. Every dog we place is given age-appropriate vaccines, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative. If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog you see in our care.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
