Meet Gator
Gator comes from a very sad case and we feel so bad for this boy but really hoping there is a special family out there for him.
He has been dealt too many bad cards and they stacked against him.
He came from a hoarding case of many dogs. Several dogs were already dead when we arrived to help.
He has never had much human contact until we took him in. He is very nervous around new people and takes time to warm up but after a few months he will now allow his foster mom to pet him and Gator has been fine. He now sits on command and we are working on stay. He wags his tail some and appears to enjoy it when the other dogs visit him. He will not walk on a leash and panics when this is on him. So he would do best living in a fenced in back yard where he does not have to come inside until he is ready. A dog door leading in and out may be a great option for him
He is probably 7+ years old and 40 lbs. He has been neutered and had a mass removed. He does have heartworms that we are treating.
