Please understand we must conduct home visits in order for any dogs to be adopted. This is merely for the safety of these rescues. All dogs are $125.00
and up. Adoption fees in correlation with care & expenses required to make each animal healthy and ready for adoption. Some dogs require fenced in yards, please feel free to ask any of our volunteers if the animal you're interested in requires a fenced in yard.

Garth is an 8 month old Shepherd/Blue Heeled mix. He is a very sweet boy! Garth loves to play with all toys (and occasionally hide them around them around the house), and he is the definition of "no take ball, only throw". He loves being outside and is getting used to going on runs. Garth isn't really a fan of the water (he barks at the waves) or cats. He likes kids and most other dogs. Garth is a good boy who would love to find his furever family!


The Junior Humane Society is a non-profit, all volunteer, animal rescue group. For over 30 years, we have helped animals in the Gulf Coast area.
All animals waiting for adoption are placed in foster homes. Before placing the animal in a furever home, JHS provides all necessary vet care, including but not limited to: shots, spaying, and neutering.
