Meet Frosty
Approx. DOB:1/2/2016 Approx. Weight: 20 Lbs
Adoption Fee: $200 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!
Frosty came to Furry Kids' after his Mom had to move to an assisted living facility and he was not welcome.
Frosty is an older gentleman with a nice amount of spunk. He has some arthritis but with meds is very manageable. He does enjoy a nice supportive orthopedic doggie bed. He may be a little sight impaired but he has no issues getting around. He even learned how to get up on the couch using a ramp in just a few days. He would do well in a quieter home with older children.
He loves treats and is very food motivated! He walks very well on a leash. He is fully housetrained too. Frosty also rides well in a car.
He gets along great with people and dogs. He hasn't been exposed to cats in his foster home but surely would get along fine with them.
Frosty enjoys good long naps so he makes a great couch potato.
He is a sweet boy who deserves a forever family where he is never left behind.
Frosty is on meds for his Arthritus. The two meds the veterinarian prescribed are Galliprant & Gabapentin. There are other options to treat Arthritus, please discuss with your veterinarian before applying if monthly cost is a factor for you.
Galliprant (20mg once a day) $38.46 on Autoship through Allivet, com
Gabapentin Capsule (100mg twice a day) $4.20 on Autoship through Allivet.com
I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped. I havew also had a dental. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
