Meet Frost

It's easy to get hooked by Frost's good looks! Frost is a fluffy eared, blue eyed boy that can't wait to find his forever home. He is a border collie but don't tell him that! Unlike most border collies that have an excessive amount of energy and herding drive, Frost is very "chill". He loves spending most of his time relaxing on a dog bed, exploring outside, or napping in the car on roadtrips. He has no interest in herding or nipping behavior that many working dogs can have. When Frost isn't napping, he's carrying his favorite toy around the house while he follows his foster parents. He likes to make sure neither his toy nor his parents leave his sight! But when his parents do leave, Frost always greets them with a happy little tap dance that he performs along with a soft, excited howl to say, "helloooo" when they return. Frost is hearing impaired and while he can see, it seems he has limited peripheral vision. He is still able to easily navigate stairs and safely run around. He knows hand signals for basic commands including sit, lie down, and stay and is completely housebroken.

While some people have complained about being stuck inside so much over the past year, Frost has really been digging it. He is extremely loving and very much a Velcro dog. He adores when his people are home with him as Frost does have some seperation anxiety, but with some patience and a little medication, Frost is able to be safely left alone in his foster's house. For this reason, Frost would prefer that his people be home more often than not, or would want to take him along for the ride. He will need a fenced-in yard so he can continue to do his wandering safely. He would also like to be an only dog or live with a dog that is very relaxed as he has no interest in playing with canine companions. Frost will also need a home with no cats or very small dogs. His foster parents say that their favorite thing about Frost is how well mannered he is in the home! He doesn't counter surf nor beg for food at the table and he's not a big jumper when guests visit. He's also well behaved with his 2 year old and 3 month old human foster siblings!

We know Frost will need someone patient and understanding to work with him but the love he will give in return will make it all worthwhile.

Our adoption donation is $300.00. This includes up-to-date vetting, microchipping, heartworm, flea and tick prevention, and spay/neuter. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns along the way. Hopefully, rescuing one of our pups would provide him a chance to benefit from all you have to give!
