Meet Frisky
Hi everyone! My name is Frisky and I'm a terrier mix. I had a good home, but my dad got sick and couldn't take care of me anymore. I was lucky enough to make my way to Cedar Valley Pit Bull Rescue and have been living with my foster mom for a few months.
I was a little shy at first, I had a lot of new things to learn. I was the only dog in the family before, but there are lots of little dogs like me at my foster home. I enjoy playing with my new brothers and sisters.
I lived in an apartment before and used puppy pads. I'm doing pretty good going outside now, but mom still leaves out puppy pads just in case.
I have scruffy hair, but I had a skin infection and didn't have much of an undercoat. That is better now, and I have a beautiful undercoat growing in. I lost some of the scruffy hair on my back. It looks a little funny right now, but it is starting to grow back now that I'm healthy.
I saw the doctor and she gave me medicine for the skin infection and all of my vaccines are up to date. She also did surgery to keep me from having puppies in the future. I'm pretty much all healed up from that, now! There wasn't a lot of information about me available when I came to the rescue. They guessed I was around 8 years old, but the vet thinks I'm closer to 5 years old! She said, all in all, I'm a healthy boy.
Now that I'm all healthy, I'm ready to find my furever family!! I am ok being an only child or having others to play with. I didn't spend much time around kitties, but the one time I met one I just sniffed her. I don't think I'd mind having a kitty if we were introduced slowly.
My mom says she's going to be very sad to see me leave, but she really wants me to find my furever family. If you think that might be you, you can fill out an application through the Cedar Vallet Pit Bull Rescue at cvpbr.org.
