Frida American Staffordshire Terrier New Orleans, LA

Frida! This girl loves, love- sweet talk, kisses, butt scratches, you name it. She’s very gentle and fiends for human companionship. Get up to go in the fridge? She’s sitting in the corner of the kitchen. Laying down on the couch bingeing The Sopranos? She’s lounging on her pillow next to the coffee table. Working at your desk in the back room? She’s curled up at your feet. Coming home from the office Wednesday night? She’s probably still sleeping on her bed in the living room. Or better yet, as soon as you turn the key and begin to open the front door, you’ll see her little black nose with a Harry Potter scar poking through the door ready to greet you with kisses and a happy tail wag. Frida was found scarred, emaciated, and hardly able to walk on her back legs due to a spinal infection. Her back legs are regaining strength, particularly her back right leg which seems to lag a bit more then the left. She’s on heavy duty antibiotics for the next 3-4 months to treat the infection and gradually going on longer walks to regain strength. Frida is a mature girl at 5 years old. She is calm, inquisitive, and loyal. She can be a bit skittish and loud sudden noises startle her as she gets used to living in a safe, comfortable home. Her foster mama would describe her as “the easiest, coolest pup.” She is fully house trained, good with children and other dogs, and doesn’t bark or chew, but we’re still working on trusting the crate.. She would do best in a calmer household as an only dog that’s looking for a sweet, loyal companion.
