Freckles's Story
Age: 3 years old

Color & Breed: Tricolor Basset

Gender: Spayed Female

Weight: 46 pounds

Requires: Fenced yard and confident companion dog

One glance at Freckles #922 and you’ll know how she got her name! This 3-year-old tricolor basset came into MNBR as part of a breeder release. She loves to give kisses—and to get kisses on her freckled snout in return!

Freckles loves to wrestle and play and will need a big hound brother or sister who feels the same. She’s all right on a leash, although she tends to tangle herself and others in her excitement to go places. She’d probably be okay on a tie-out, but she’s still working through some shyness, so a fence might be more ideal.

Freckles enjoys visits to the dog park and full attention in the car on the way there. She doesn’t enjoy people moving quickly toward her, so she’d like a family with no kids or older, patient kids. When she wants to play, she bows down and jumps around—just in case there’s any confusion! Freckles has the softest ears and neck, and can’t wait for her forever family to scritch them.

For more information on adopting with MNBR visit https://www.mnbassetrescue.com/adoption

MNBR adopts locally as much as possible so we can properly support our foster dogs and adopters if the need arises.
