Freckles Pit Bull Terrier Mix Rochester, NY

Freckles is THE sweetest, nicest dog and just LOVES people and is super snuggly. She's very eager to please and food driven. She's heartworm positive - her treatment is underway and will continue to be covered by the rescue until she tests neagtive. She is available for a longer-term trial adoption because the heartworm treatment will take a bit to complete. But in the meantime, we'd love to see her in a home to give her lots of love. She seems dog-selective so far - she gets along with most chiller dogs, but not with pushy dogs. We can always try a meet & greet with a resident dog once approved. She can be hyper at times - she seems to love being someplace where people are giving her love and her exuberance shows! The vet is estimating her at about 4-5 years old and she's just under 50 lbs. We'd say kids 8 and over for again and ONLY for the reason of her energy and size and love of playing. And cats are a NO for this feline chaser.

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
