Meet Freckles!: It's amazing this little girl is still with rescue - there's really no reason we can see! She's still looking for her forever home. Her foster Mom sent us some updated notes for her bio:

Some updates:
She does well being home alone so she will be good in a work from home or out of home situation. Does not need a cage.
She is a little girl with a big heart. She loves people of all ages. She was really good with my 7 year old niece.
She has no issues with other dogs. She plays well. She loves play chase me with her toys.
She will need a fenced in yard.
She will also need continued work on recall
She just wants to be your constant companion & will chill with you & snuggle. She is super gentle with taking treats & when she plays with you.

Side Note:She does well with recall in the yard but if she gets out she can make a run for it & does not respond to you.
We have worked on decreasing her barking. She will bark when she sees someone she likes she is just super excited.


02/02/23 update: This girl is a doll! She was adopted out and shortly after her human owners got an unforeseen medical diagnosis that sadly led them to returning her to rescue. So she's back on the market looking for her forever home!

This sweet 6 year old came to rescue sadly due to death of one owner and the failing health of her other so she needs a family of her own.

This is what her foster parents had to say about her:

Freckles loves everyone and plays well with her foster sisters. She is living with 3 other female GSPs. She loves to play with the younger of them, and she does try to be a little "bossy" of the others, so a more submissive furry friend may be best - or she would be fine as an only child. Freckles does like to chase pray and cats, so a cat free house would be best.

She does pull on leash and given the chance will run. So a fully fence in yard is recommended. Freckles knows basic commands but recall is something we been working on.

When Freckles came to us, she had a skin problem that penicillin cleared up but she still sometimes licks at the areas that need to heel. We do put a soft cone on her when away as this seems to be her chance to do her best licking.

Freckles does like to tell you when someone is at the door and needs to see before she will stop.

She loves being with her people, so a home where someone is home a lot would be the best for this girl as she is content and happy with all day belly rubs and will be your constant companion.
